CURTAINS

If you love the look of curtains then you will probably love the affect they can have on a room, making it into whatever appearance you want as they have so many different textures and thicknesses.

Curtains are so versatile and can accomplish so many distinctive looks with various cloths – Blockout, which is exactly what is says, 100% light ban; Dimout, which blocks out some light but not all your light; Sheers, which are a lovely delicate translucent curtain, and the uncoated curtain which lets you choose what you would like this fabric to do for you.

Curtains can help you with insulating your home or room from light, heat, sound and assist in saving power with their insulating capabilities.

BLINDS

‘Blinds’ have undergone an incredible resurgence in popularity over the past few years. They tick many boxes – look, affordability, design flexibility, and an amazing range of technical or woven fabrics from which to choose. Gone are the patterned Holland blinds that hung in our grandmother’s kitchen; In are panel glides, rollers blinds, verticals, venetians, and shutters.

Using blinds as your single window treatment can help reduce the overall cost, and can look stylish or casual, depending on the fabric. You can also combine them with curtains to give a softer effect to any room. They come in hundreds of finishes, including translucent, complete blockout, woven and printed fabrics, and highly technical weaves that simulate grasses/bamboo.

These window treatments cover:

Roller blinds, which as the name suggests, roll up and down to cover the window; Panel glides, which are ‘panels’ of fabric (the choices are limitless) which slide along a track;

Vertical blinds, which also slide along a track, but have narrower panels;

Venetian blinds, which come in aluminium of many shades, or timber, for a more natural look.

VERI SHADES

Everyone loves curtains, they’re elegant, soft, and stylish – but they’re either open or closed. Veri Shades have the feel of curtains with the versatility of blinds, they are practical, safe and will complement any home or office. Veri Shades use a single track, giving you more space in your rooms and only taking up half the space to achieve the same results from curtains.

The fabric folds are soil resistant and can be easily taken down and individually washed, or replaced in a matter of seconds. The fabric is UV stabilised so it is resistant to fading. Fire retardant Veri Shades are also available. There is no PVC or filler in Veri Shades. With the new unique patented designed Veri Shades you can have the elegance and versatility of a sheer and the privacy of a curtain. With the turn of a wand you can easily adjust the Veri Shades to control and adjust light levels depending on the position of the sun, or privacy required.

SHUTTERS

Shutters have had a long history of protecting windows on the outside but today we have many choices, we have seen the introduction of aluminium and basswood shutters plus a variety of plastics and composites. They are available in many different styles and louver sizes.

Shutters are increasingly used as much for visual effect as for their practical functions – outdoor shutters give us shelter from the elements and protection for the glass and the indoor shutters have brought a higher level of sophistication, they assist with blocking out the light and heat whilst providing adequate ventilation.

Shutters can be custom built to fit any shape or size window. If you want to soften the look of your shutters in some rooms, such as bedrooms, feel free to add drapes on top of your shutters. They’ll give you all the sun control and privacy you need and leave you free to add whatever decorative treatments you like.
